As I said, complete 180 from company driver. Didn't say I was free, only that I liked the freedom. Any j o b you have is gonna have rules. Again, it's all about choice. I choose this, you choose that. If you're happy that's all that matters. Why rain on everyone's parade all the time? You must be a very unhappy person.Grijon, knuckledragger, dieselfuelonly and 1 other person Thank this.

Sadwar i just pulled that same exact load out of Breingsville...load of water and its 46k...hopefully you scale out lol...its water
sadwar Thanks this. -
Also...since you have to go thru Pittsburg with that load your fuel mileage WILL drop lol
sadwar Thanks this. -
Where you at man? I'm in Hendersonville NC heading to NH tomorrow, should be up around Carlisle by tomorrow night.

Nope! Having your own truck and trailer authority etc.. wouldn't make you free at all. Your always going have to be following some sort of policy..either your customer, bank, government and just safety in general to keep successful. That's why I like it here, those things are all taken care of just by following SNI rules .. Easy compared to handling everything yourself.Grijon, Newtrucker48, sadwar and 1 other person Thank this.

Headed out of Newburgh NY today. Going west into Ohio then down to Florida by Tuesday.

13 hour day today. Drove 2.5 hrs to pick up the Nestle water load. Hauled the 46000 lbs 6 hrs to Ohio. Then drove 90 miles further west to grab my load going to Florida. Nice surprise there, said 38k on the load board but is only 18k. Fuel mileage dropped from 7.6 to 7.1 today thanks to that water load. But this 18k load will get it back up there. I've got two days to run 950 miles, easy. Then a day off with the kids. Loving it.....
