Good day today. Awoke at three and drove the 120 miles to my live unload in jersey at the Costco. Went really quick, only one hour. Drove one mile to drop my mt at another customer, then bobtailed the 120 miles up to C&S for my d/h. Went much better than yesterday, out of there in 15 minutes. Drove the 90 miles to my live unload which took 45 minutes. Then drove 15 minutes to pick up my loaded trailer at KC. Now I'm at the pilot until tmrw morning, 300 miles to RI for a d/h.
Shower time......mickimause Thanks this. -
submarine semi? Sounds like fun!!!!Shardrk and mickimause Thank this.

Up at 3 am again today. Drove the 300 miles over to RI for a quick D/H. Then drove the 169 miles up here to ME for a D/H that has now turned into a live load since I got here before the trailer was loaded! So I sit waiting for a door so they can put 45k of water on. Not planning on driving anymore today so no biggie, gonna spend the night here and run the 360 miles over to NY tmrw. Then taking a 34 at some relatives house until Sat morning.
Later.......EggoTrucker Thanks this. -
Never been to ME or RI. The furthest I go north is NJ. I hate the northeast!!!

My first time up here. Not so bad so far. I'll be living in upstate NY in June, so gonna run up here and see what's what!mickimause, Wheelwell and rickybobby Thank this.

Been lurking for awhile but I had to register to reply to this.
I've lived up here in the northeast my whole life, and spent the first year of driving a truck primarily in this area, back and forth from Maine to Pa, NJ, and upstate Ny, sometimes Virginia. Its not as scary as people make it out to be. New Jersey is by far the worst it gets, besides NYC (in my opinion), but upstate NY is easy, same with PA, and ME. The traffic sucks in the built up areas, but once you get used to it, it's not so bad.
Go further north than NJ, actually just go around that horrid state, everywhere else up here isn't what its made out to be.Shardrk, Drifter42, sadwar and 1 other person Thank this. -
I actually enjoy Maine at night during the winter. The snow had a blue tint to it.
-
That's exactly what I'm finding out. Easy to run from PA or upstate NY east to CT, RI, or ME. And vice versa.
Thanks! -
I never minded upstate NY. I ran up to Gouverneur Ny almost every week for about a year and it reminded me a little like Tn except a lot more snow lol
