Sadwar - you'll be passing through my area today. We'll be at the Petro in Sparks about 12:30. Take care.

Thanks. Not gonna make it that far today though. Truck blew front right air bag, sitting at freightliner in SLC waiting for it to be repaired. They are saying only two hours! This place is massive, at least 60 service bays. We'll see.

    Grijon Thanks this.

Ouch! Yeah, hubby was there a week ago in Orientation. Likes what he sees so far. He has his whole 70 planned out already, haven't seen that with the other company he was with.

Obviously depends on how far you deadhead. Last time I delivered into Miami from Ohio at $2.35 per mile. Deadheaded up to Orlando for a load to Maryland that paid $1.45 after the deadhead.

And the hits keep coming...... Of course FL doesn't have the part, and it's not available anywhere locally, so they have to overnight it. Should be back on the road about 24 hours from now. Luckily I'll still be able to deliver the load I am under. But.... I lost my load to get me to the house, and of course I won't be home on Wednesday now. Time to hit the load board and find something else!

As a rule anytime you get a part you should always keep a journal with part numbers so in the future you can reference your list and shop around quicker. Also if you don't already know (and this is to everyone) you should always carry extra oil, oil filters and fuel filters. Air filters too because changing a fuel filter yourself is easy and a lot cheaper than calling roadside service. Just my 2 cent.
