Pretty sure you're talking about the Park Smart system, completely separate AC for the sleeper beth compartment. I had that on my company truck. It did NOT have in built-in inverter.

The system I have is a battery APU called Idle-Aire... Recharges when I run the truck, will run full AC for a good 10 hours and includes a built-in inverter for AC. While not as good as the diesel APU I had before, it's pretty darn close.

But I'll have a diesel APU again on my next truck...

    Roll on...

Sadwar are you still rolling under choice program I use to read your threads from a year ago and it was very interesting. Do you still run as hard and all states. Since the beginning and til now if you are still ic what have you learned the most?

Yes, still under Choice... Check out my new thread detailing my move to upstate NY and my adventures in the North East...

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...h-northeast-choice-saga-sadwar-continues.html

I mainly stay in the North East now, but I occasionally venture out to Arkansas area and Florida to visit family....

I may head to the left coast for a summer adventure, we'll see....

I don't run as hard, that's the one thing I've learned, less miles more revenue is the way to go....

    Roll on....

    Sadwar,

do you what kinds of wattage the apu has I looked at the info sfi sent me and thats what I will have on my truck, but I see nothing on the website about the watts it puts out. I will be getting a fridge and other cooking supplies for the truck and was hoping that it would kick out at least 1500 watts. also is it true the recruiter tells me there is a ton of freight in the midwest but does it pay? I know most of them lye to us to get us in the doors.

I did $2500 after fuel and fixed costs on around 1900 miles two weeks ago in the midwest.
Then got sucked into and stuck in the Northeast but a I left today.

This was the week I was in the Mid-west

This is what the load board says.. the loaded miles and rate per load mile. My actual miles I get to in the end.

Aurora, Il to New Berlin, Wi 107 miles $4.77
Milwaukee, WI to Champaign, IL 221 miles $2.32
Frankfort, In to Evensville, In 195 miles $2.49
Also did a load out near Louisville 24 miles that paid $525. It was more like 35 loaded miles though.
Fairdale, Ky to Findlay, Oh 267 miles $1.88
Lima, Oh to Vandalia, Oh 63 miles $3.78 (did that load twice)
Vandalia, Oh to Bedford, Pa 331 miles $2.36
Bedford, Pa to Solon, Oh 211 miles at 2.36
Those are the loads I booked for the week, of course actual miles is different with deadhead and such.
    13 drop and hooks 5 live load/unloads

    9 loads in 7 days..

    1941 all miles
Revenue will be $4,303 or $2.21 ALL miles

    Fuel burnt was about $700
    Fixed costs are $1100
So revenue after fixed and fuel costs was roughly $2,500.

Then I got sucked into the Northeast for a bit and refused to leave for cheap. After about 9 days I started going nuts...
    I found a way out...

New Windsor, NY to Williamsburg, VA 426 miles $1.66 BUT I had to deadhead over 100 miles for that load though it only weighed 6000 pounds. Did it because it took me right to this load
Williamsburg, VA to Grove City, OH 496 miles $1.70

With deadhead and everything it's about $1.43-$1.44 all miles which isn't bad considering it got me out of the Northeast on the weekend into a great area of Ohio for freight.
There were loads going 400-500 miles back into the Northeast between $2.20-$2.40 but yeah forget that I need a break.

It's never easy leaving the Northeast for an okay rate but if you're patient you can pull it off.

It was my 4th trip into the Northeast and I never let the Northeast for less than what I just did. The best I ever did was Rochester, NY to Memphis for $1.62 and believe it or not that was a C.H. Robinson load. At least it said so on the bills.

Those are amazing rates in the midwest. I love to run there, so if I can come over and get that I'll be a very happy IC.
