Thanks clegg. How manta weeks do they expect you to stay out before coming home? I can easily do 3 weeks but I read somewhere that it was more like 5 weeks. 5 weeks wouldn't be a problem but I couldn't do it all the time, maybe I can get with my dispatcher once I'm there and build some trust and what not and work out something like out 5 weeks then out 3 weeks and another 3 weeks then 5 weeks lol idk. But the 5 days off will be nice for the 5 weeks out.

The only way you would get home more often that 5 - 6 weeks was if you got lucky and got on a dedicated acct, and that takes a minimum 6 months solo and there has to be an opening. Not likely. Sorry but Im being honest. You will be expected to stay out 5 to 6 weeks and then home for 5 days.

Oh okay. Thanks for being honest. I asked my fiancé how long she could deal with me being gone and she said about 6 weeks(on her own I hadn't said anything about the Stevens hometime or anything, I guess she wants me gone lol)

What the hell lol I talked to them at the beginning of this month and they said yes I just had too many moving voilations, just like every other company so that's why I have to wait til November to drive for anybody but prime(I can drive for prime in 5 months).

Like I say it may have changed this month (or week) lol. Prime isnt bad for training and the new driver pay is actually pretty good. I went through there training and enjoyed it.

I went to Roadmaster in Columbus too! Congrats. I pull a flatbed for Maverick and have been very very happy with my choice. They are first class. You mentioned Valley Transportation, if you can get in with them, I would recommend them definitely. They are a good outfit too.

    Rollin_18 Thanks this.

Valley seems to be the best in my eyes. I like maverick it's just the auto trans, I'm not a fan of it. One question to you flatbed drivers, do you ever have to tarp in the freezing rain during winter or would tarping not do anything since its already raining? I really like flatbed cause its something to do other then bump the dock and sit there. I'm 6' 2" 290 pounds(trying to lose like 80 pounds before I even truck cause with my eating habit now I would die in truck just sitting there eating lmao) I don't look 290 though.

    jxu417 Thanks this.
