Just some thoughts from someone who has applied with both companies and interviewed with xpo. XPO tried to get me to sign a two-year contract that is a condition of getting hired with them in Wisconsin, after finding out all the details I turned them down after they gave me an offer.
Dot foods is very well regarded and my only issues with them is that their trucks do not have an APU and I don't particularly care for doing reefer work anymore but aside from that it did not seem like they were offering any kind of bad gig.
All things considered if it were me I would go with dot foods. YMMV -

Can’t beat LTL hometime and pay. Dot would have been better if they didn’t go cameras. Both companies have cameras but LTL is the way to go personally. Researching DOT seems to be a good company but LTL will always pay better wages. They have to compete with the other LTL’s and cpm plus hourly to keep drivers. Right now top company in LTL pays .89-.91 topped out. DOT is in the truckload sector which is different pay.
54international and Daycab Papi Thank this. -
IMHO
Or maybe we had to throw 3 railers and needed a harder beat.
