    I wouldn't recommend it. Some may. I'll tell you what though, at LS if you bring your own reefer over, it's worth an extra 10% I believe, the highest paid trailer in the LS system! , yes you still get 10% for dry loads in a reefer.

    I'll tell you this too;

    Even though I wouldn't recommend mercer for what you do, it's not a dishonorable place to be. It's a leg up on many, many operations.

    I'll also tell you this, there's not much reefer freight at LS from my experience, but LS does have a rep in the business for temp controlled haz-mat

    I concur with JR OTR. Dry van at Mercer has changed for under better in the last 6 months that I've been here.

    With that being said, I think you're better off pulling a van at Mercer than a refer at LS. But you can make money pulling van or flat at either company. Depending on which direction I take my business I could very well end up at LS in the future. I stopped by Mercer on Wednesday to take my 30 minute break. Went to visit with my recruiter & he took me to lunch at a good Mexican restaurant on Mercer's dime. I thought it was cool.
