Everyone will have a opinion (of course ) but for 50 to 100 bucks go to a CB and get a good used one . Or find a driver selling one after a weekend at the Casino !!!!:biggrin_2559:

All ya gotta do is get across the big road once in awhile or ask for directions , right ..:biggrin_25525:
Have fun and good luck to ya !:biggrin_2559:

    You go girl !!!!!

To start with just stay with a Cobra 29. Antenna 4' firestick or francis. Later if you decide to you can have a Cobra 29 to be turned up to get great clear audio out of it. This wont kill you on cost either.

Its good to start with, if you have a problem buy a mirror mount (pay attention to diameter of mirror pipe) brown antenna cable Probably 9'. and Francis. You wont need to tune this setup. I have been using francis antennas for years and they are always spot on. run antenna cable thru wind wing. Sometime the factory cable gets damaged or unplugged in the middle causing problems. Cobra 29 has a ant warning light.

A Cobra 29 new is going to run you over $100.

Really a Cobra 25 LTD is all the CB radio you will ever need. They sell new most places for about $90.

And if you can't find a Cobra 25 LTD for sale, look into getting a Uniden PC 68. It's pretty much the same radio for a tad less.

Also if you can avoid it, don't buy a CB from a truck stop, unless you want to overpay for it.
