That's the first I've heard of anywhere selling a 29 for under $100.
Never heard of a Cobra 30.

The Road King magazine from TA truck stops list the following

other radios with $20 rebate include PC 78XL, PC 78LTW & PC 68LTW.

I seen a 29 LTD classics in a pilot in AK. for 59.99 after 20$ mail in rebate
-
Petro is always running some deal on Cobra 29's. The last one I bought was $79.99 and you got a $20 mail-in rebate so really only cost $59.99.

connex has a new cb out that has a built in linear, also has a custom full lighted display over the whole front of the radio.
-
Sparkys has the general lee for 169.99. Comes factory peaked and tuned. I am getting around 60 watts out of mine out of the box.

Ok, I been savin my Pilot points for a CB. I been reading up as much as I can but I'm torn between the uniden and the cobra. Some guys are sayin they are basically the same radio while others are sayin the cobra is the best. I want a cb that is gonna perform well and last. Not lookin for a world beater, just one that is good quality and dependable (it'd be nice if it got out a few miles and was clear too ). Anyway, is there that much difference between the two cb's? If not I'm gonna go with the uniden cuz its on sale for 59.99 right now, plus it has the backlit display and weather built in. If theres enough difference in quality I'll just wait and save some more points for one of the cobras. Btw, I only have the stock antenna on the truck but plan on upgrading to a wilson 2000 cuz thats the one most everyone seems to recommend.

Connex has a new EXPORT radio with pretty neat custom lighting on the front, there is NO built in leen-yar, its a dual final radio just like the 3300HP, I wouldnt expect any more than 50-60w PEP from it.
Dont get me wrong its probably a real good performer, and it looks good, but its the same guts, nothing new there. -
Get the Uniden. It's cheaper and built better IMO than the Cobra of today.
Back in the 70's and 80's Cobra CB's were basically rebadged Unidens. The board and the transformers were Unidens. Then when Uniden wanted more money to keep building the radios, Cobra started having Maxon build them which that's what you're buying now when you buy a new Cobra CB...is a Maxon.IUFAN87 Thanks this.
