You said it right. Everyone says they're a Christian, "whatever that means".

Covenant sent a recruiter to my trucking school. He was no Christian.

After that, I called a Covenant recruiter, and he told me over the phone they never hire new CDL graduates. I called again another day, and they said they DID hire new CDL graduates, as the recruiter who came to the school had said. That's why he was there?

I just figured they were mixed up. Then I read on the internet about the two brothers running Covenant and some other company, and they had a big fight or something. Nice Christian company?

I don't think it's the Christian faith that is wrong at all, since I am a believer, read the Bible, and look to Jesus Christ as real and all-powerful. I assure you, He is not fooled by these phonies. They are taught in their churches "once-saved-always-saved" - one of several Baptist false doctrines, including the "Left Behind"/Pre-Trib Rapture, and the John Hagee/Jerry Falwell "Die For Israel" prophetic propaganda. I've learned not to throw my pearls before swine.

I haven't had good experiences with Christian auto mechanics, and I'll never sign up with a Christian trucking company. Separation of church and trucking company - loved that line!

 

Worked as a wrench in a used car lot once, and the owner had the "fish"

i know all to well about covenant. i didnt always work for myself they tryed to get me and a co-driver to sure a flat top truck and it only had one bed it didnt happen i dont care if they did put you in a motel if u had a layover no way was i going to be in a flattop truck with a guy

 

I figure, that if a company or individual has to put a cross, fish symbol on their business cards and signs, then has to name their company Bible thumper inc, Covenent, or whatever, then they are using that for marketing purposes. I don't really trust that too much. If you want yourself and your company to be known as a Christian company, walk that walk. Show me. There's a saying. You might be the only Bible another person reads. What example have you set? Live it. Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruits. A good tree brings forth good fruit, and a bad tree brings forth bitter fruits." He didn't say you'll know them by the sign on the door or name of the company. Anyone can do that.

yea i went to a church many years ago where the guys had to have short hair and the women had to wear dresses or skirts. even got told i was doing wrong for attending one churcu funtion when i should have been at another one. thats when i left
