Former boss... as soon as I get him to loan it to me we can both use it.

Realistically: it's chrome. I'd pull them n put stainless on unless it was real minor, which is why I asked for pics.

Those look to be stainless anyways.

My half fenders are stainless and have the same stuff on them. Nature of the work I do.

With the potential amount of money you could spend removing the concrete, and possibly the time spent doing it, it may just be cheaper to pull them and buy a new set. A new set of stainless half fenders is between $400-500.

Call around to some local truck washes and see what they can do. Finding a professional polisher is probably your best bet here. They likely have had experience with it before and know a trick or two to get it off.

And also with the fact that the mounting kit is already there obviously that'll save you some change as well.

    Zeviander Thanks this.

muriatic acid should remove the concrete. i think i am with the replace people, i would try to fix a small area first though and go from there but i have had next to no luck polishing out physical damage to stainless, clean them sure but if the surface is actually damaged stainless is very hard normal compounds wool pads ect do little more than clean them in my experience someone else may know something i do not however.
