WAYNE, Mich. (WXYZ/CNN/CNN Newsource) — A man who stopped a potential mass shooting was gifted a brand new pickup truck.
Richard Pryor, a deacon at Crosspointe Community Church, took decisive action last month to prevent a potential mass shooting at his church. Pryor, who was in his truck in the church parking lot, was the first to spot the alleged gunman approaching with multiple weapons.
When he saw a man armed with multiple weapons approaching the church, he hit the gas and rammed him.
Despite the suspect managing to fire a round through the truck, Pryor emerged unharmed, though his truck was left totaled.
In recognition of his bravery, a local dealership surprised Pryor with a brand new Ford F-150 on Friday.
