    I discovered a good Italian restaurant right off 35 while driving through OKC in my car last week. It's several doors down from Toby Keith's eatery. There's a Lowes behind it with a big parking area, so I will definitely be back.

    If you decide later to start a new life in Tallahassee/Leon county, FL....that's fine....just know up-front:
    • The cost of living there will be significantly higher than in southern GA;
    • Many CDL carriers will later pass you by -- just because you are in FL;
    • If you later decide to settle down and buy a house -- expect to get reamed pretty badly on homeowner's insurance.
    Another possible option: have you perhaps considered Thomasville, GA? Many people live there for the advantages that GA offers....but commute to Tally as appropriate.

    Don't stop doing what you are doing for a while. Build up your credit , get professional advice and make it healthy ! I predict by the time you have built up your credit, you will have a much better idea of what you prefer. I am just a wannabe trucker, I don't know what states are good for Truck Drivers. I can tell you most do not like CA. Even though many here happily live there. Wouldn't buy an ecar when I did buy one.

    As always , Thank You Drivers, you are da best. You make life possible in this country. I am grateful to you all. You make the roads safer. I know how deadly 4 wheelers are, believe it or not they are worse when you are not around. I could tell you crazy stories that are true. I want to stay positive and I don't want to complain. I am just grateful for all the good out there. Stay safe .....we need you and you are my heros and sheros.

    That is most likely Indian River Transport. They are a food-grade tanker fleet. They run pretty much all lower 48 states.

    It’s not a tough transition. I went from OTR owner op to local company schmuck in a couple weeks. Went into an industrial area and saw all the smaller companies that were regional. Talked to the owner and applied for a job. Sleeper truck, regional runs. Got my foot in to an extended stay style apartment. Moved some of my stuff and some guns, 1 motorcycle and 1 car to the apartment. Started working 1 week after applying. Gym right across the street, grocery store and pharmacy right next door.

    Sounds like an ideal situation. I’ve barely been getting out the truck because it cost me money just to get out the truck. I kinda want to be in a situation where I don’t have to book an Uber once I’m done driving.

    Check out South Dakota.
    Hot governor there and she's recruiting new residents.

    I stumble across towns and small cities all across this country that I think I wouldn’t mind settling down in. Since I’ve been running coast to coast I drive a lot through Wisconsin, Minnesota, Montana, and then over west a bit through Colorado and New Mexico and I’ve ran into some of the most friendly people in the country in those parts. People that actually go out of their way to be nice to other people.
    When I haul cheese out of Northern Wisconsin for example, and I go to a shipper up there it’s like literally day and night versus going into a shipper at a big city. Lol you can feel there difference.
