Why didn't you just do the tests together and save your self some money. You do know you have to do the airbrakes practical again on your roadtest as part of your pretrip right? Fail that and it doesn't matter if you pass the driving part. You still fail. And you get the medical to do after you pass your class 1 roadtest.

Yeah that I'm aware of - the airbrakes I did was just for the ' 15 ' endorsement on my class 5.. thats fine tho.. I aced the airbrakes practical - the next one won't be much different, I'll just be including the trailer in it. - thankfully it'll be done over many trips with an instructor so i'll have ample practice time.

It was the written one, I had pretty much inhaled the drivers manual and was blank when I went in there. Then since I'd been studying just the airbrakes and doing the online practice tests the lady behind the counter blindsided me when she asked if I wanted to do the learners class 1 test as well.. nope.. let me get through the one, then i'll read up on the learners and come back.. it was only 17 bux :D

Excellent, Ray does seem to be quite on the level doesn't he - I've hammered him with questions.. my first day behind the wheel is a week from now.. Wednesday the 26th, I begin.

And Onetrack.. well.. that comes from a woman from my past ;)

    Uh wat?^

And one track I hope everything goes well for you at the course. It sounds like a good driving school and they atleast teach you some mountain driving. For me everything was done pretty much in town except one trip to cache creek.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it, apparently we're going down the 5 and 5a, trips will include a run to the summit of the coquihalla southbound.. and a trip from merritt to cache creek via 97c - How are things up in the Patch Nate ? Must be really ramping up there by now hey?

Its been steady..... Yesterday I finished my drive back from manitoba and that was it for the day. 5.5 hours. Today I'm just doing some town work so I hope I get some decent hours...... Tomorrow I'm heading back to manitoba so that will be good. Just waiting for freeze up I guess before it goes really crazy.

Make sure you check the brakes before heading into merritt :p between merritt and kamloops just seems to take forever in a truck. Esp the gutless rig I was driving. I would be 4th over almost the whole way up the coke too. Took me about 4 hours to get to kamloops from langley. I do it in 2.5 hours in a car lol.

Lol.. yeah, as long as my trailer isn't in front of my cab things will be great. Doesn't matter if its slow - but I hear you.. about 3 from here to burnaby most times...

Plus we just got finished with the Pacific Forest Rally just at the end of October, here is a picture that I took - Its Antoine L'estage and Nathalie Richard - Talk about going fast.

Once the patch freezes do you get much of a break?

That's an awesome pic! Couple of my friends went to some car rally at big white last year.

I'm not too sure, never worked out here in the winter. I plan on staying up here until christmas, go back home for christmas and then come back and work 3 straight months. Then ill worry about taking a break in april.

Right on, Big White is a pretty great rally - there is also Mountain Trials in May and several smaller TSD's.. this weekend is Kananaski's and Rallye De Charlevoix.

Check out the Big White one - www.bigwhiterally.com

Generally I'll make it to PFR each year, I normally run flying finish and Start for them.. sometimes I'll do tech.. theres some great pix from 2009 here - > http://picasaweb.google.com/lorne.hammond/PacificForestRally2009# (my photos.. and yes, if you want to put a face to a name, thats me in the top left with the hat...)
