Depending on axle and frame rails, the M2 can be class 8.

Youll not likely find big truck power in an M2 unless you build it yourself. I drove an m2 crew for one company one time and it was an auto. Huge cab. Way bigger than my S series international 4dr

At one of my prior oilfield gigs, we had a Mercedes-powered M2 triaxle tanker truck. 5000 gallon tank, double frame nose to tail, 18 speed. Didn't perform too badly, not the first up the hill but got the job done with a minimum of fuss.

Interesting thing is a M2 crew cab was ever available in a S60 13spd or even a 10spd.

maybe a sleeper can be mounted in the back?

If i had the frame rail id prefer a standard cab and a double eagle with big underbody sideboxes, over a 4door cab and normal sleeper.

I guess having to move to let kids all file in the front passenger side would be a minor inconvenience but then youd have way more standable room in the sleeper. A backdoor full camper sleeper would alleviate that.
