WIA should require physical , drug test , MVR , background check , and mechanical aptitude tests so they quit wasting so much friggin taxpayers money on misfits that would never make it past orientation .

Are you trying to say that because I tried to get my schooling funded by WIA that i am a misfit?

Montgomery county made me do a math skills test, english skills test, MVR, DoT physical and drug screen, and a Mechanical aptitude test before i could be approved. AFAIK, no BG check was done.

    Clark state in Springfield.

No , I am not saying you are a misfit . But read other posts by students that saw WIA funded students that had felony records and bad MVR's .

I was asked about my driving record, didn't have to show my MVR to the work force essentials people. My MVR for TN is clean. Both tickets I had were on my old Florida license even though I was living in TN.

I did tell them about the tickets. One drops off the 3 year radar in 3 days.

Just because some WIA people don't do their job properly you want to climb all over them.

The 2 women that do it at my local office are swamped! They take 20 minute lunches. They deal with a bunch of lazy, stupid, ignorant jackazzes all day long.

    Lighten up Francis.

You people that are truly qualified are the ones that should be jumping on them . How much sooner would you get processed if they checked qualifications better ? How would your chances of getting a job sooner increase if carriers didn't have to work through thousands of applications from nonquals before they got to yours ?There are too many people out there with no chance of getting a job wasting everybody's time .

Rick I am going to venture you are really far removed from the newbie stuff.

There is inequities in life. The system stinks. I was encouraged to not go to the CDL mill that most go to from the WIA office. Told the school I had 2 tickets, they told me I was unemployable. Yet I had a 5'2" 400lb woman sitting behind me from that school yesterday waiting to take her driving test. Think she will get a job? She has a prehire with Werner. I don't want to predict the outcome of that one. I don't think they ask your weight or height. I have no idea if she is a WIA client.

I stuck to my guns, crossed my fingers, and got a slot in the state run school.
