I have had my class B cdl for 7 years, with soley mountain driving experience. I recently cross trained through work into my class A cdl. I have less than 8 hours actual time in a tractor trailer, and was wondering what your advice would be for me to get into a OTR job without being able to obtain 120 hours at my current job in a feasible time frame (at least the next year). How should I go about getting the experience, should it be a company that offers a course like CR England? Or is there something else I do not know about?

I'd try Swift and use the mentor (6 week ) program.

You are definitely going to need either accredited school training or contract training provided by a company. This is due to insurance standards not necessarily companies own policies. Your class b experience probably isn't going to carry much weight. Any experience with your class b will be solely for your purpose. Not to say that it won't help you in real life driving situations.
