I'm planning on driving a dump truck for my dad and step-mother this summer. I already have my Permit, and some experience driving the dump truck I'll be using, and a 24' box truck from enterprise.. However, the place I rented it from said it's a non- Class B vehicle. I assume it's because it doesn't weight over 26,001 pounds. Does anyone know where I could start looking for a rental truck to take my Class B in?
Also, any tips on what I can expect for the test?

Why not use your dad's dump truck?

Wouldn't pass their inspection at the testing center.

If it won't pass their inspection, how is it supposed to pass a Level 2 roadside inspection? That's still a factor to consider, even if it isn't an OTR, line haul truck.
Penske and Ryder rent trucks with GVWRs in excess of 26k. Do you have any of their yards near you? -

I live in Cleveland.
Get the truck fixed.
OHSP is going to have a hardon for you, real, real quick.
Also I'm fairly sure that box truck is under 10k GVW and using hydraulic brakes, hence the non-cmv status.
