I have about 3 years Class B experience, but when I tested it was in an automatic truck and I have an automatic restriction on my CDL. Which class B companies have automatic trucks? I was looking at possibly frac fueling, I heard Pilot has some automatic trucks but I've also heard I don't want to work there. Does anyone here happen to know?
I have spoken to recruiters at several companies and most were not helpful, you'd be surprised at how many don't know what kind of transmissions their trucks have. Also, not interested in testing for manual, my ex-husband tried to teach me and it didn't work too well.

recruiters are idiots
how hard would it be to get that lifted from your licence?
maybe worth it to upgrade to class A anyway?Spacat1 Thanks this. -
I appreciate the advice but at this time I'm not looking to upgrade or drive manual. By the way I also have tanker and hazmat.

Frac fueling outfits use class B trucks. I don't know who uses automatics, though. You can inquire at Pilot Thomas and Suncoast Resources, I know they both have class B trucks.

Just knowing how to operate your equipment makes you a trucker. Nothing super about it.
Dye Guardian, homeskillet and AModelCat Thank this. -
If you want an automatic truck, you should be.
A. Handicap somehow.
B. Willing to become handicap, and break your shoulder, leg, or arm, before you start driving an automatic.
C. Grow a pair and drive manual.
D. Just give up if you are not A,B or C. -

Your pair, or lack thereof aside, you're less employable now than you could be. Someday it won't matter, everything will be automatic. Today is not that day.
