Bad is when you decide the 621 loader ( thirty years old ) has algae In the tank. After fighting that for three weeks (kileem) and installing a cleanable screen filter filter decided to treat the 10,000 gallon storage tank. Want to keep the from happening to the new equipment don't you know.
Then the bulk tank filters required frequent changes and everything on the farm was coming to its knees. Even the brand new trucks and tractors were dying and yes it was planting season.
My suggestion is to use an algaeside on as close to a full tank as you can coming home. Want it to be low on fuel when you get home. Let it set a day or longer and drain the tank. Flush it out with some more fuel and dump that trash in the waste oil. Pressure washing the tanks out is also good but than you way want to point a torpedo heater on them to remove the water.
Also saw a similar situation when changing to bio fuel. That appears to be a good algaeside as well. Hear say is that up to 2% bio can be in the fuel you buy and not require labeling. If all of these factors are correct you could be buying you problem, you know, from storage tanks. Might want to buy somewhere else for a little while. Your supplier may not know either.

I took a look at my lines from the tank, look like JIC 37 degree, Summit sells a pack of 40 plastic caps of various sizes. They should hold up for the duration of a soaking.

Just use Fppf Killem biocide, it will get rid of all of it. Just read the instruction on the bottle of how much you're supposed to use per tank. You won't be disappointed the product is awesome.
