I was unloading cement today, the silo became full and activated the alarm and closed the pinch valves on the plant's pipe.I shut off the hopper valve and tried to clear the line hose to disconnect it to move to another silo. The problem now is I have a hose full of product that falls down from the pinch valve .My question is I thought their is a way to pull the product back into the tank to clear the hose.

Back in my days we had no way of sucking it back into the trailer, & if that happened there was only two options. Unhook it & blow it out, & or hooked it up to another silo, them turn the air on, keep the product valves close, & beat on the hoes with a hammer, hoping it will jar the stopped up hose enough that it will blow it on up into the silo.

Open your blow down that releases all your tank air, with that still open run full air thru ur product line as ur were pushing product, now open/close ur hopper valve....what ur doin is pushing air thru ur product line into the tank from the bottom causing a vacuum that will clear ur line....you may have to open/close ur hopper valve a few times to clear the line depending on how bad ur clogged....try using ur rear hopper....open hopper valve....bout 3-5 secs wait a sec or two and repeat....keep ur blow down open the whole time so that ur air ur pushing back into the tank from the bottom has some where to go...u should see ur product line gauge shakin.....tank gauge should be 0....line gauge may be 12-15

Thanks, I remembered that some one help me out on a severe clog one time and he had cleared the line so I knew there was a way to do it.I don't like the pinch valves it seems like they create problems. The managers can release the valves so you can clean out your tube and move to another location but sometimes nobody is there. Thanks again.
