For god's sake how hard would it be to be to put a climate control on a truck? Every truck I've ever driven you have to constantly fiddle with the manual heat controls. Up and down, up and down I can never get a temp set and leave it alone for a while. Its always too hot, or too cold.
I've never seen climate control on a truck, have you? And if so any body know where I could get an after market kit?

amen I would kill for a climate control system in my truck it's always to hot or to cold. makes sleeping rather interesting.

Brick, you mean like the heat on and window down?
When I am at home my wife has to have a fan blowing on her at night, but she is under the covers. I sleep on top of the covers and the fan messes up my sinuses. I am all stopped up in the morning. I tell her to turn off the fan and kick off the covers. It will balance the temp out!

You got that right. -
i find the problem with my ICON idle in the winter is... the cold seeps in under the bunk and makes the matress cold yet i am breathing air that is too hot for comfort from the vents. seems to be okay during the summer though.
i hate spring and fall when it is nice out, about 50-60 and i try to leave engine off and window open. there is ALWAYS someone parking next to me that insists on running their truck ALL DANG NIGHT. -
I've never seen anything that could be retrofitted, because most of them have quite an array of dashpots, sensors, and controllers involved that operate the various vents to keep the temp where you set it. It is kind of surprising that the truck manufacturers have never included such a unit. It can't be that complicated, (or expensive!) since General Motors has done it before.
My Webasto does have a switch and a temp sensor on it. The sensor clicks and is kind of noisy where they have it located, but it has to be in the cab to work properly and take temp readings. I can;t set a specific temperatuire though, just a heat range. -

Actually, i think some of the higher-end gm cars have this feature. So you might want to start there.
Now that i think of it, if you can design a retrofitable unit that could be put on a truck i think you'll get all the marbles. -

i have one in the sleeper of my truck. took me some time to figure it out since it was confusing. but now i use it all the time and it works great.
