clogged crank case filter cause it to run hot

Got a 2005 cat c15 acert, Temp would immediately start going up even when I was empty when I would climb Hill, Everthing seem normal couldn't find anything. So last weekend I decided to power wash the crankcase filter because the new one cost like $90. Don't worry its not made out of paper. After cleaning it I noticed temperature rising problem has gone away and does not get hot now

oil pressure is like 65 psi going down the roads always been that
always added a half a gallon after 8k miles, if I run heavy and a lot of mountains it takes a gallon.
Yes had everything adjusted about 50k miles ago

 

usually both check engine light and stop engine light come on when the filter is plugged on mine this time it didn't
