    I have survived many times. I don't drive automatic ####, my truck is manual with no electronic ####, i have money saved from previous years, i know how fix trucks/engines/ aftertreatment devices, I know how and where book loads , ...

    Still plan on doing the thing until the end of me. Might change and start chasing some steady freight before too much longer. Still up in the air on this one. Still enough good loads going around but I think I am gonna have to lower my standards on backhauls.

    I saw multiple heavy oversize (needs permits) tarp loads being pushed for $2 a mile today "firm rate".

    It's getting out of control.

    This can't last forever, especially ones with truck payments and company drivers.

    I am just staying around the house, never more than a day away.
    Anything longer distance doesn't pay.
    If short loads won't pay I sit.

    Thankfully no truck payment.
