Are you doing OTR as a company man or?

I parked my truck due part shortage and do local drywall as a company man. But it sucks. Going into Chicago every day. 13 or 14 hours of work plus commute to the dry wall plant in my car. If the job was different with less stress I would be happier. It's nice not having to worry about repairs.

No I'm done running OTR. I run regional or actually within about a 150 mile radius of the yard. Easy work go out loaded and then right back empty. I can hustle or work easy as I want, whatever suits me. There's no pressure if I say I'm done that's it. Like being your own boss without the expenses but benefits included. Only difference is I don't get to pick my loads but honestly they're all the same anyways and one is about as good as another.

Yep, when it came to it I knew exactly where I wanted to go for a long time. I put my application in back in April and there was nothing but crickets chirping until the end of June. I actually got tired of waiting on them and so nailed down a different job but ended up walking away from that one to take my first pick after they finally called 2 months later and made the official offer.
