Cloudy fuel in tanks?

    New to me truck....only put about 100 litres of fuel in at Shell [public pump...no choice] in left tank to get it home....both tanks are cloudy so i suspect it was there before.

    That is what im suspecting but was unsure....guess i can test the fuel if thats the case.

    just drain some from the drain valve on bottom of filter

    Why would you need to be looking inside your tanks?

    One should always check once and a while for algea etc.....this is also the time of year that the fuel gets changed from summer diesel to winter diesel in the colder areas and its not uncommon for fuel stations to run the holding tanks down which means you can get more contamination in the fuel.

    Personally this is a new to me truck so i was looking for possible issues like air bubbling etc.....
