I bought that Harbor Freight trans. jack.
It's a hope and a prayer but it works.
If you get it; change out the safety chains with heavier ones.
Couldn't see $1500.00 for a jack I will use maybe twice in my lifetime
You know anyone with a good one you could borrow?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I might know you!!??I was going to ask about renting one. Don’t want to tie up someone’s jack. I need to also do rear cover Detroit. I’m sure I could sell it used once for $225. Thanks

Just a note on my truck both ends are right hand threads. Fine threads and rod only had about 1/2 “ of threading on each end.Since they never get moved were froze up good . I chased threads after welding due to some debris. And lots anti seize.

I was trying to cover all the questions I had while trying to figure it out for myself .Watched a Midwest clutch video where he sets clutch at 1/2 in between cover and throwout calling it the “A” dimension. I guess just for initial setup and then adds thicker clutchbrake if needed. I suppose if flywheel had been wore and cut a bit? Anyway don’t know if all clutches need to be set up like this or just Midwest. It’s on Utube really threw me for a loop just when I thought I had it figured out.Ive always adjusted my own but never knew anything about measurements. Watch the videos on Utube there’s a lot to be desired then make your video explaining the mechanics of it all. All these do this do that etc . No one explains why?One guy didn’t even adjust clutch cause it’s in spec but doesn’t show anything it’s hilarious.

Well fixed the issue with the clutch pedal not coming all the way to the top,it was rubbing on some weather stripping on the firewall,so I cut some of it out of the way and pedal works like it should now. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.
