Shouldn’t need the clutch to shift gears anyway. If your talking about going into gear it’s probably the clutch brake needing adjusted. Or, the entire clutch is worn out and needing replaced.

Because your Clutch plate damper springs Have broken and are now jammed up in your pressure plate causing the clutch Pedal to be stiff and the clutch to not release.
