I have 2011 Pete, ISX 15 with Eaton 8LL. The clutch is slipping and I have no free play. I hold in the clutch with a 2x4 and push in the bolt and turn it clockwise to adjust but it does nothing. You can turn it all day and still no play in the pedal. It almost feels like it gets snug and then real loose like it’s stripped or something. Any ideas?

It’ll slip if I get in it real hard in the higher gears. But still manageable if that’s what your asking?

    Rideandrepair and feldsforever Thank this.

The truck only has 59K on it. Just FYI. I don’t know though, the previous driver could have done it in.

    59K on an 2011?

Sometimes setting is worse that driving. Things freeze up and stop working.

Low mileage vehicles can be some of the worst. Shiny on the outside, but plagued with problems underneith.

Yup! I believe that! Low mileage but high hours. Use to be part of an drilling crew. Mostly sat turning PTO 8,600 hours.

The old boss had a truck could not ajust that clutch for nothing. He keep having me drive it. He would never take it in, Untill it got towed in.
I'm not in a position of knowledge on the diesel side. But if it was a gasoline engine and the gears are hard to get into.
Or losing power after shift. Such as slipping. I would start looking deeper.
It sounds as if the previoys owner sold it after he got all the adjust ment out of it that he could.

Is there a bolt at both ends of the rod?
