Is anyone here using the co pilot live 8 on a laptop. I don't need it for use as a GPS but would like to have some good trip planning/routing software. There are few places where you can get limited access to PC Miler routing but there is a monthly usage limit. Does Co Pilot use the same routing software? Can you pick practical or shortest miles? Can you print the routing list? Multiple stops? I see the software @ the ALK store for under $100. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Any questionable portions of routes must be checked against the RMMCA anyway to satisfy due diligence, so software that promises "truck routing" promises nothing, really.Olympian Thanks this. -
Considering Co Pilot Live is from PC Miller, I think its worth its weight. Hell all one would need is a GPS receiver for the laptop, which can be gotten from Amazon for around $30, you have a Laptop GPS that uses the same software most companies use for preplanning.

gpsman: I would have to disagree. I have used Streets and Trips for years. Good software but not even close when it comes to trucks. I have tried it for dock to dock trips and although the highway part is OK ( not very good 30% of the time) the in town will get you into trouble. Have you ever used the PCMiler routes? I find them to be the best. If Google had truck routing it too would be great. My Garmin Dezl is better than S&T but no match for PC Miler. No GPS or routing software is foolproof but having he PC Miler And comparing that route to my GPS sure helps.
