Pardon the absolute OT ... but truckers are good people.
California.
Co-signer in the purchase of an automobile.
Automobile totalled in accident. No Insurance. Payments defaulted.
Credit agency wants to get to some agreements out of court.
Amount due around 10K, impossible for me to repay at this moment.
Court papers already served.
Please, please advice.

do you have any way to pay?
i would get with those people ASAP and negotiate some kind of plan.
i'm afraid you are going to be paying stupid tax (as dave ramsey calls it) one way or the other. -
No doubt about it, thats what Dave calls it.

If you get a chance go to a live event. My wife and I went this yr to the one in CO Springs, CO.
LOTS of entertainment value along with learning some thing. -
i've looked into it, not bad for 30 bucks.

Absolutely negotiate with the creditors. But you should also bring in the primary as well. If he's not willing (i.e. doing the duck and cover thing), take the sorry slob to court.
