Is it possible for a driver to find a job running coast to coast with no previous exp.?
-I don’t mind running team (be it with a trainer and with another driver after training ends)
-I don’t mind if home-time is borderline nonexistent, as I am unmarried with no children
-I have a clean MVR and could obtain a Hazmat if necessary.

Plenty of those jobs available.
Are you in Georgia or which city are you near?
Do you have endorsements? -
All these hire new cdl grads, even if the website has different. These companies run teams to the west coast.

Don’t run team unless the money’s obscene.
HoneyBadger67, tscottme and AModelCat Thank this. -

Probably don't need hazmat with reefer outfits running west coast. They usually haul food products back to the east coast. You can ask when you contact the companies.

One other thing, are there any dedicated routes?
-
"Plasma" route pays the best, about $80K per driver on the team. -
And can a newbie driver get dedicated routes?
I’ve contemplated going OTR for a year or two so that I could get a local job. As I’ve stated, I don’t mind staying out, but I think that long range driving would be easier (less hairpin turns and start/stop driving in heavy traffic), and a dedicated route would be easier.
I’ve always enjoyed driving and travel, but I hate being in an unfamiliar place and not knowing where to go. A route that I drive over & over again would be much less stressful. Also, I’m not hung up on pay. The more money, the merrier, but I’d choose an easier, less stressful job over a high-paying but more difficult one.dwells40 Thanks this. -
@TravR1 can explain the Plasma account at FFE.
You can probably get a local job right now, depending on the town/city you are near.
There's some decent solo OTR jobs also, such as Freymiller - www.drive4freymiller.com and click on "Recent Graduates."Zonno Thanks this.
