I also want to to buy a dryVan because they are cheap.
Is it possible to run coast to coast with a dryvan and still make about 2$/ mile
I would really like to hear from individuls who havedone or doing this.
What are your thoughts and feelings about coast to coast loads

There are affordable reefers out there too. And then you can haul whatever.
-
Companies are begging for team Drivers/Owners so it should be a piece of cake.

One company based near where I live runs coast to coast reefer teams. $1500 per round trip, split between the drivers. Out 10 days or so, then home for 3. Their selling point is 2013 kenworths.
For an O/O, what are these companies who are begging offering to pay the truck? -
It would be better to get out of ca.with a reefer then reload on the east coast with dry frieght going back

I ran out of Pa.to the west coast and back for 3yrs.I loved it

I'd have to agree with reefer as well. You'll have to get direct customers though if you want to make much money at it. Coast to coast seems to have gotten pretty bad for dry van and almost as bad for reefer if you're trying to run the load boards. You'll also burn up the useful life of your truck pretty quick doing team back and forth. Just my 2 cents worth.

ATC Hey i got your Pm, But I did not have enough post to reply. I worked for Hoffman Transport in Greencastle Pa. I dont know if they still run the west.i think they are regional now. Good people when i was there.

Team can be a great way to make great $$$ We are @ the 76 in Boise. Take us to Fontana. The bucks stack up, not much of a life though. All you do is run. Guess It's good for some. Helped me buy my own truck, taught me the truth about the road. Would not change a thing

I agree on this one. We run NJ to CA its back and forth back and forth. Home for one and a quarter days and than back out. Do this about 7 times in a row and its time for a brake. I love the drop and hook, noone telling us what to do, and the $ racks up. What I hate is not being home as much as I used to
