Thank you guys and Jenny also send her thanks for the thoughts. I do know more about it now than I did yesterday. When she went the bed the night before her mom was happy and went to sleep with a smile. Next morning when her mom did not get up she went in to check on her and found her there dead, yet the smile was still on her face. So in short she did not suffer.

That's all I ask is that I'm smiling when I go. My condolences to your girlfriend and her family. It's almost like being underway again isn't it, not being able to go when you want. Hopefully you can get there to comfort your girlfriend soon.

Off topic, which cutter is that in your avatar? I can't read the hull number

    Thanks in behalf Of Jenny.

It CGC Dallas. I was TAD on her for Ocean Safari 85. I was on the Sherman (2), Chase, Vigilant and Reliance(2).

With my experience of Family Emergencies it not. All the guys I was stationed with got taken off the Ship and sent home. My father had a heart attack, and I did not have money for Air Fare either the Reliance got me off the Ship at Cap Cod, MA, and paid for my flight home.

Cool, I was on the Gallatin from 02-04. That's awesome that they got you home like that. When I was on the Steadfast my wife went into labor as we were sitting 5nm off the Columbia river waiting to pull in the next day and the XO told me I could wait until we pulled in the next day. I was ready to jump off the ship and swim (especially since I could see my house in the big eyes.)

Well I am going Broke but I am not giving up. Been leased onto Great Wide Cheetah and it not working out that well. Not all their fault though. I hurting myself cause I 1 Do not have Tarps, 2 and if I did would not be able to tarp. But I do enjoy Flat bedding it.

1st week I had more than 2 loads though, but I hate to see my logs.. Unload in the AM, Load in the PM and run at night. This pay week started by Hauling Crane Mays from Houston to Pittsburg TX then going up to Waldo AR and loading wood going to Amarillo TX, then went to Sweet Water OK to Sweet Water TX.

Well due to Health issues I will start off tomorrow deadheading home. Great Wide will be canceling my lease on Monday.

Well it wasn't all that bad, they were nice to me but being nice does not pay the bills. But I do have a Job waiting for me. So it not as bad as it was when I left USA Truck.

By the way if you see me going across I20 how about throwing me a buck or 2 so I can get some fuel.. 1/4 tank of fuel and 1400 miles to go.. Grat Wide going to advance me some money off my loads I did this week so I can get some fuel though.. See they are still treating me good.

Be careful coming into Georgia - the ice has been all over the news. I'm just guessing there were some cutbacks in the road depts, because I don't remember having the same problems last year at this time.

1400 mile d/h?! where on the green earth are you man? :)
