I am trying to avoid bouncing around and I agree with that. Why I hate that Great Wide not working out.

They are hauling Produce as a back haul. Their website shows Hauling for Tyson, Seaboard Farms, Perdue, Sara lee, Schwans.

I have hauled Beef from the Slaughter houses. sitting was not that bad. couple hours of my experience. But I will not be sitting like I am now, only hoping to get a load soon.

    30% is A LOT

What are you getting for that? Figure a trailer is worth 5- 8%
Where is the rest? For that I wpuld expect plates permits and insurance except mabey bobtail.

MM I think he ment that the driver he talked to makes 30% working for an owner operator. Instead of per mile he gets 30% of gross. That is how I am paid as well.

Here is what you were talking about. My mistake. 70% of the load is 30% to the company.

    generally you pay reefer fuel.

Its a big chunk. I give up 10% I pay all my insurance and plates though. If I ran his trailer it would be another 5%

And the math for what that told u doesn't work out. First if he was mking 30% that would be minimum .60mi and if he's running 3500mi that's min $7000 to the truck which means hed be making $2100 a week not $1300.

Hope that's right. Just off the top of my head while driving

Ok he just told me he was paid 1300.00 for a week he thought to been bad pay. 30% to the company is average what I see. Including Landstar which I believe 65% pulling their trlr

But we all know landstar is a ripoff.

I'm not trying to sway u too or away froom them. Just Tking. In the end it don't affect me one bit. I've just been around long enough to know how companies lie.

This isn't the smith with the black trailers and big gold smith on the side of them is it?
