federal law passed last year requires carries who have qualicoms to save that data for a period of time specificly for them to use during audits. This is when I left MCT, they decided if they were going to be required to save the data then they better start auditing logs to the quailcom. FIrst month I had 24 days in violation and I didn't run the whole month.
so if it's in your truck. It can and will be used against you

Absolutely right on. On carrier audits of log data , the FMCSA is only looking at electronic data now. They are overlaying GPS position reports with your log data. My safety manager is of the opinion that practically no one will be able to survive this level of scrutiny - that's the no. 1 reason they're going to elogs.

Well I had a time today. I loaded to going to Boston Ma area. The shipper loaded it backwards as in First Drop was in the nose. So they had to reload, and that ticked them off. Telling me It my fault. Well I did not find out the appointment times till after they started loading for one, and 2 I never had to tell a shipper how to load my truck before. But this is one that I will tell how to go their job now on.
I did not want to go to New England area, but after I was told what it paid, I have to. After fuel, I'll make enough for a Truck payment from this one load. The Challenger and slabrunner Thank this. -
Drivers who don't want to do the NE... leave more freight for the rest of us.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
My mechanic is the only one happy about me running NE loads - he gets to repair everything the roads knock loose! Yeah, just like a few other places - it's up for grabs and you can have it! Hey ironpony, are you a company driver?

Yup, there are loads up there. Pulled a Dole salad load up last week, got a yoghurt load out. 100 mile dead head.

Getting Loads never the reason I did not want to go up to New England, But I hate tolls, and it hard to avoid all the tolls. So far this trip I only paid one, in NY.
And the second reason, back in 2000, I was involved in a small fender bender, and was issued a ticket. Few days later, I was terminated for refusing to drive Illegal. I ended up broke, and no income, so no money to pay the fine. When I came back out Driving I tried to correct the problem, but after phone calls and emails, I still not found who I need to talk to about fixing it. So I may have a warrant here in Mass. Nothing has shown up during employment applications though. -
Talking about rough Roads.... Just idealing along I was bounced around so hard I almost fell out of my seat with my seat belt on.
I had no problem getting a load. Loaded in Fall River Ma, not OHIO. But I guess a Rookie would go to Ohio from Mass to get a load.
Well I am back home to get my truck repaired and to do more paper work for the company since they lost the first that I sent.RAG, Dryver, HwyPilot and 1 other person Thank this.
