Hello everyone. I want to purchase a Cobra 29LTD with Blue Tooth and came across a web site named the cb shop dot com. They are offering that radio with optional "Truckers Special". Has anyone purchased from them before or have that radio? I usually purchase from cb city dot com but don't know if the extra money for the "Truckers Special" is worth it.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!
    Jeff

I could not find the trucker special but the site looks to be out of country.

Any time you see a special think why does no one else have it ?

Send me the link to what you were looking at so i know what it is ...

That shop is in Farmington NY. And about the only thing that would make the "Trucker-Special" different from a stock Cobra 29 BL tooth (that you would notice) is the echo board they install...The Cobras already have a pretty good noise filter in them from the factory, and places like CB City don't charge any extra for "Peak & Tune"...

For the most part, the "Trucker Special" is just a sales gimmick...Lot's of CB Shops call their P&T something "Catchy" Like "Truckers Special"- "Wack-Pac"...

If the Echo Board is something you just want, then $160 for that radio, with the Echo is a fair price, just don't expect to be blowing the doors off everyone thinking it will do more than maybe 20w's Maximum...Probably closer to just a 12w swing...

I never herd of that particular shop, but then again I don't get to NY very often either...CB City however is about 100 miles from me, and almost all my radios came from there, and I have never had a bad experience with CB City...Just about any CB Shop can add the echo board to a radio...
