I installed a Cobra 29lx with a 4' firestik in my jeep. My SWR sometimes is below 1.5 and sometimes it's above three on the same channel in the same location. I have no clue what could be causing this, I checked that my antenna mount is grounded with a multimeter, I bought new coax, and i made sure the isolation washer is on the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you checking it with the cb meter or an external meter? And are you checking it in a open area with the windows and doors closed?

You should get an external meter and try that first.

Most internal meters aren't reliable. And if you had it peaked and tuned the don't read with a crap at all. My internal reads 1.5.1 all across the channels, but my external meter reads correct.
