can we get the speed limit displayed?

another problem with my 7750 when looking for truckstops on my route TA are not showing up unless I type in a destination where I know one is as a destination then search
example would be the TA in Lebo, KS

missed the ta # Rogers, MN
    piliot # Kearny, MO

is this normal that these travel centers dont show up?

Is the 7750 PLT the same one they are selling at Loves and TA/Petro?

Sorry but the 7750 does not display speed limits. Regarding the TA, I will investigate and get back to you.

I'm not sure what the Loves and TA are carrying right now. We have two models out: 7700 and 7750. It would be one or the other.

I checked the TA in Lebo, KS and it works OK. Here's what I did:

    1. I ran a route from Kansas City to Wichita.
    2. I searched POIs along the route and did not see the TA in Lebo.
    3. I double-checked the route and found that the 7750 was taking 70 to 335 into Wichita. No problem with this route, but it is too far from the TA in Lebo!
    4. I did a detour, telling the 7750 to avoid 335. It calculated a new route, taking 35 into Wichita. This route goes right past Lebo.
    5. I searched POIs along the route and the TA in Lebo popped up.
    A couple hints:

    • When searching POIs, choose the Promiles category and then choose Truck Stops.
    • To be considered, the POI must be within 1 mile from the route. If the POI is located more than 1 mile off-route, then it will not pop up.

If a field does not auto-populate, try tapping on it. You should then get some data.

I'm getting ready to get a new GPS and am considering this one, just wondering if the updates are free or is there a charge for them?

Software updates are always free to download from the Cobra website. As usual with any GPS, there is a charge for map updates.
