I bought a new Cobra HH Roadtrip for my Silverado from Amazon for $79.73, went out and bought a 64" SS Antenna from Radio Shack for $19.99. I had an issue with a whining sound coming through the radio from the alternator, bought a 25 Amp Noise Filter for $25.00 (was on the shelf for $54.95, guy gave me at cost) spliced and butt connected into the A/C Adapter and it fixed my problem. The power cord is now a electrical-taped and noise-filtered monster. Now I've got a neat...and somewhat unique...CB radio setup that works great. =)
