Cobra "Recreational" CB and Mini CB's

    It sounds like you know the most important thing. You've gotten a lot of use out of what you currently have and it didn't cost very much. To see a slight improvement in performance would cost exponentially more than you spent assuming you have achieved the full potential of your antenna system.
    There's this thing called the law of diminishing returns which states if X produces Y, there will be a point when adding more quantities of X will not help in a marginal increase in quantities of Y where X represents power and Y represents mileage or distance. The best gains in performance or distance are gained by maximizing the potential of what you already have.
    For example your antenna system.

    I've been kinda disappointed with both galaxy radios I bought (dx44 & 55hp), honestly the radio shack trc-whatever I had back in high school was more impressive. Was going coast to coast at night on 4w, Galaxy can't get a 10-4 at 200w any time of day.

    Both the 880 & 980 killed uniden for me, screens went out in about a week, they refused to honor the warranty.
