    i bought a cobra gps recently,new,got it home, opened it,tried to use it,it didn't work,it froze on the 2nd screen and done nothing else but turn off,sent back to cobra,now they want me to pay another $60 to fix it,don't buy nothing of cobra's,they don't stand behing thier merchindise

    unfortunately that seems to be the american way now since the mom and pop businesses have went under--its all a attitude of "i have your money and i will not be giving it back".

    Usually the store will allow returns from 15-30 days.


    You might get away with doing a hard reset on it like many programmable electronics. But that entails removing the batteries for about 30 seconds since you already have a charge on them. The only way to do it on that is to removed the whole back cover to access the batteries.

    Then I would try to do an upgrade if that doesn't work. You can go here and try. You need a computer and USB cord to hook to your unit.
