I'm looking for anyone with first hand information on oil field driving jobs in northern New Mexico and anywhere in Colorado. Who are the big players in oil field servicing, and who's hiring now? What kind of hours are you getting?

I'm looking to drive kill truck, hot oiler, vac truck, or possibly haul crude.

    Thanks much.

Ben, there are some renovations being done in the Jobs forum that will hopefully make it more user-friendly for the people who have jobs available to post, or individuals who are looking for jobs and wish to post their resume/qualifications.

The threads with general discussion about jobs in any given field are being moved to the Occupation Specific forums.

I'll move this to the Oilfield forum for you, but leave a redirect in the Jobs forum so that others can find it.

Anybody have any information on Dawn Trucking? According to their website they have several yards in CO and one in Odessa, but I don't recall seeing any of their trucks around town.

I've lived in Midland for the past year, and yes there's plenty of work. My only complaint about the area is the lack of things to do. After a 70-80 hour week it would be nice to be able to do something with my precious time off. Everything around here worth doing is at least 4 hours away.

Dawn trucking is mainly a rig moving company. Mostly winch trucks, good money in moving t
rigs if you can get your foot in the door.

    Ben Gunn Thanks this.

I'm surprised we do not hear more about the oilfield in Colorado. If you are working in Colorado step up and represent your oil patch!

I started this thread 7 months ago and all I've heard back is the sound of crickets chirping. Maybe they don't have the interweb up there ????

We have the web up here... western slope of colorado, shell has pulled out and is no longer investing in any more wells, announced July 1st.

Eastern plains of Colorado, Lots of new wells, lots of competition. Taylor and TriMac are the big two crude haulers. Gazelle screwed up big time with Noble, and Anadarko, and now is shrinking in eastern Colorado.

Eastern Wyoming, new wells, old fields, Taylor dominates the crude hauling, with Plains, Falco and Gazelle getting the scraps.
