    Wymon,
Magna was originally a CO company, their main offices are in Broomfield,CO. Recently they had a CDL job on the
Ft. Collins/Northern CO Craigslist for their location in Briggsdale,CO which is east of US 85 on US 14. I knew they had a yard in Gillette by the airport but was surprised to learn they have a yard in Williston! Their website is www.magnaes.com if anyone is interested. They are one of those companies that has a certain niche in the oilfields---plugging old wells, well completion, water hauling,so they hire rig hands as well as experienced CDL drivers.

Wymon and Ben Gunn Thank this.

Wymon, I think I've seen EL Farmer trucks on occasion but I don't know anything about them. Thanks for the info on CO. My wife and I would love to relocate in a year or two and its surprising how much info there is here on TX and ND but not CO.

    Wymon Thanks this.

E.L. Farmer represents old-school oilfield hauling at its finest. I never leased a truck to them, but I've run casing with their O/O's all over TX, LA, NM, etc.

I'm sure they've changed some over the years in the face of cutthroat competition, but they always tried hard to focus on selling service instead of selling cheap rates. If you're looking for stability in that type of oilfield trucking, Farmer will be hard to beat.

    Wymon Thanks this.

Thanks d o g-Farmer delivered pipe to our yard here in MT. The trucks were clean and in good repair, loads were secured correctly, and the drivers hustled-wore their PPE, and even helped our guys as we were short handed. They still sell service-definitely a tough act to follow! I see they have been around for a very long time.

    d o g Thanks this.

Ben I know this is old post but just seen it. got couple frinds going to midland or san angelo first of October I can't decide weather to go or not. there is nothing around here in trucking that pays anything above 35 cents a mile. your statement about working 70 to 80 hrs aweek is what I would want and nothing to do afterwards would suit me fine. it's a tough decision but like we were talking got to do something.

There's money to be made out here. You probably won't get rich but if you're struggling in a sucky economy like I was, this could be a good move for you.

Thanks for the encouragement i'm not broke but I will be if I hang around here. I have been doing mechanic work out of my garage but the big problem is inflation is so bad the people don't have no money to pay me and i'm not going to take them to court cause I know they are struggling. I haven't drove for 8 months now but I have 13 years experience so someone will train me I hope.

Just a quick note--if you're thinking of coming to the oilfields in Eastern Colorado this week, delay your trip! We've been in a drought for 3+ years and mother nature decided to make up for it the last 3 days! I've never seen the Platte River in Weld county that high.

Any drivers in CO that want a water hauling job, the company I mentioned in post #31 is looking for a night shift driver working out of their LaSalle yard! I got the Email from Weld County Workforce, it said $20/hr with only 3 months experience required. It was unclear if this was driving exp. or water hauling exp. You can go to the state workforce website and register as a guest and enter job #5661483. I have never registered as a guest , so don't know how involved the process is.

Ben-Colorado is a beautiful state. I think there are opportunities there, but they don't make the news like ND does. I am actually moving in the opposite direction as you-I work in Montana, but have a home in central New Mexico, so I guess the Permian is my best shot-300 miles from home instead of 1000! The San Juan Basin in NW New Mexico seems pretty slow now. Good luck on your search!
