I applied for a job water hauling with Dawn Trucking about two weeks ago. They have a yard in Ignacio, CO and Farmington, NM, right around where I live. Anyway, out of the blue this company called RN Industries Trucking contacted me and sent me a separate application. They said they got my information from Dawn Trucking.

Curious to know if anyone has heard anything about RN Industries. The position they asked me to apply for is based in North Dakota. I can't seem to find much on them. Thanks for any info you guys may have.

We were interested in the Aztec/Farmington area but I hear it's very slow there. Carlsbad is supposed to be pretty busy, and of course there's Hobbs.

I've seen ads for Dawn but I've never heard of the other company. I would be interested in how things are going in your area. I lived in Ignacio many years ago and wouldn't mind returning to the 4 corners. I've heard the area is slow but am curious about your thoughts.

I have my class B and I am going to soon upgrade to get my A's. I want to land a job in the Midland area hauling sand or water. I do not have a lot of tractor trailer experience, but I do know how to drive them and I have been driving strait trucks and off road trucks for years. Whats my chances getting a job and is there any place to stay or do I need to bring a camper? Can I drive in Texas with a North Carolina CDL? What endorsements do I need to have.I am looking to make some major moves and I would really appreciate some answers and advice? Is there any jobs I could get with a class B? Thanks.

Yes there are, but not nearly as many as with a Class A. Wireline crews and Super Suckers drive straight trucks. Some of the larger companies will train you for your Class A.

Most companies require you to transfer your license to TX within a period of time.

I saw this job on the Denver Craigslist this morning for a job in Hobbs, NM that will take a ClassB for a driver postion in the oilfield. Employers have to pay to post jobs on the Denver part of CL and the parent company-Waste Connections--has a trash operation here but maybe this represents how busy it is in Eastern NM--the ad mentions relocation money!
