I own a very nice bbq trailer rig and looking for somewhere to locate it close to truck stops in central ohio. I have super bbq and the girls working for me arent bad either. Do you know of a nice size lot i could locate my trailer near a truck stop that will accomidate a few trucks.

I own a super bbq rig and im looking for a place to set it up to sell affordable bbq lunches and dinners to truck drivers. this location must be withing 45 minutes of Columbus ohio and be able to park several trucks at a time. Do you know of an empty lot or truck stop that doesnt carry food?
    any help appreciated..

Yes BBQbob i live in Grove City my terminal is off exit 80 on 70 at exit 79 which is london you have 3 truck stops there, or if you go out 70 east to exit 126 you have 2 truck stops. Both places you might be able to do bussiness at. Hope this helps you. Also at exit 94 off 70 which is Wilson road you have a small Pilot.

    tom,

Thanks for the info. yes im very familiar with all those you mentioned but need specifics on where might be a good place to go. i know wilson road pilot wont work because they barely have enough room for trucks to park.

There is the Harley place up in Sunbury that is next to the Pilot, you might be able to set up there and truckers can walk over to you. Its been a while since I've been there so I don't remember if you can walk from one parking lot to the next. Check it out. There is the Flyin J across the street also.

East of town there is a CB shop right next to the Pilot with some truck parking that I know you can walk right across to with no problems. Maybe go in and ask them if you can setup in their lot.

    heres my next question....

if your on the road and you hear a sexy female voice advertising bbq and yes the bbq is great for $6.00 you get one main ( brisket sandwich-pulled pork-quarter rack of ribs) and two homemade sides and a can of soda, would you stop if its close to the exit ramp on the freeway with easy in and out?

I carry food with me but it sure will attract other drivers for sure. But the problem with using a female on the CB, is most drivers will just try to talk to her and be stupid. Let your food speak for itself.

Trust me on this.... If you have Hooters type girls there, you'll get plenty of attention...:biggrin_2559:

There used to be a guy in NY who parked is food trailer on a wide get on ramp west of Danbury,CT.I'm sure he had to pay off someone to do it,but he had great food and had trucks lined up for along ways to get it.
He didn't even have a CB.
