The older pleasant gentleman behind the window that writes his own books and sells them there is nice.
Got in there once from 'Bama and they forced me to run a load 2 blocks from there. It took way too long to get empty. It did provide me with an empty.
One trick on getting an empty is watch the trailers bop over the speed bumps. Easy to pick the empties! I would ask if they were dropping them. Scored a couple that way.
Columbus terminal likes and dislikes?

Columbus Terminal is for the most part great, Large roomy lot, They'll change trailer tires at fuel island, lots of parking, B service is fast, shop is just OK...always an attitude seemingly or just to busy I dont know. Decent TV room, Large shower rooms, Company store if you can catch it open, Food truck permantely there. Staff is professional. New Casino just a few blocks away.

My home terminal. As far as terminals go, the ability to get food onsite vs. paying for delivery is a nice deal. Plenty of well lit parking. And yes...trailers are even tough for drivers out of Columbus. They tell us that they are reserved for dedicated accounts.

Is it possible to pick where you get your training? Columbus is the closet Swift terminal to me so obviously if I end up going with Swift that would be my first choice.

Brownsfan16 Thanks this.

Don't the trainees for Columbus go to Millington first then back to Columbus?

You will go to Millington, TN for Swift school - then meet with your trainer at the Columbus terminal.
