Here is why political motivation is a BS deal. Number one because it's crazy talk. Number two because it's a rear end accident.

There is one fact in this whole story...all the other crap being discussed is useless. Fact is this driver rear-ended another vehicle and killed a person. Twitter, how long he was up, where he lives, political motivation, who he works for, blah blah blah...useless. He killed someone.

A lot of articles posted here on this story so I won't post another one.But I read a piece that says Roper's trk was equipped with a system that's designed to slow the trk down and notify him of traffic ahead.Whether it was working is still unknown.Article also said in the last 2 yrs Walmart has had 380 crashes which involved 9 deaths and 129 injuries.

If that driver's 2011 Peterbilt was equipped with the newest Wingman ACB, it would have alerted the driver of an approaching fixed object that is 3 seconds away and would have engaged the brakes if the cruise control was on or off. That is not enough of a space cushion to react and stop the truck if the driver was not paying attention. The problem I have with these collision avoidance systems is the number of drivers who rely on them to replace good judgement and fail to maintain attention to driving.

I've heard a VORAD can distract a driver to the extent they can think of nothing but suicide.
