Kinda wondering if the message I just got may have something to do with this ?

It says , we have to correct our logs for any type of work related activities at customers.

I dont know if I have ever logged on duty at a customer . I mean other then when I pull in and let it hit the on duty line for about 5 to 10 minutes, but thats about it..

Amen to this....I have driven both and have had the same results. They see "ghost" and slam on brakes...better shut them off in bad weather! When they trigger the brakes, it does not send a CER...sounds like the inventors had doubts about them also. If they have not gotten somebody hurt...they will!!!

Thanks for this pic...it is interesting. He apparently tried to avoid the limo as his wheels are turned left and most of the damage is on the right side. I think I can see the radar antennae pod hanging down from the bumper. Their is amazingly little damage for the amount of damage and injury this accident caused. Most of the driver side hood is still attached and the ac condenser coil is not mashed that badly. Engine did not set back and down as it is designed to in a bad head on collision. Wheels are intact and inflated...may have been replaced by the wrecker service. Could be those buses are not well built. Has anyone heard if they are checking out the limo driver?

  6. you realize there are trolls on 90% of forum sites that push agendas and content.

it's the new way to. enjoy your leash. I mean. electronic log .

ohh. this is suppose to be about the untrained 4wheelers who are in a hurry to beat that slow semi to the construction zone/ singnal light or any of the other possible locations in front of my fellow drivers. to save that 5 seconds from cutting him off.

This is about to become old news, the GWB was shut for 9 hours yesterday.

Somehow they'll blame this on Christy. (and truckers)

So I was listening to abc news radio New York this morning. Here's what their reporter stated (it's paraphrased but basically exactly what was said).

First off the driver was "asleep at the wheel when he rear ended the limo". This was stated like it was a simple undisputed fact. Next, "he was awake for more than 24 hours straight" again stated as fact.

Next comes the questions the reporter had in general. First off, "walmart trucks are equipped with electronic logs" and that elogs "are like gps units" and that they tell drivers "when and where to stop when out of legal hours". He then goes on to state "what isn't clear is whether or not the elogs were malfunctioning".

In conclusion, these are the types of morons that are pushing trucking industry regulations.

So many untruths and misconceptions about trucking....
Why do I have this picture in my head that the motoring public are the "O.J. jury" and the trucking industry is "Marcia Clark and Chris Darden"?....

Yeah and keep going to the 34hr restart making it sound mandatory which its not and how 70 hrs in a week is to much. They need to know somwthing about what they are talking about first it's 70 in 8 days not a week and how removing the new rule on it lets drivers work 86 hrs in a week again not so 86 in 8 days that is 10.75 hrs a day. But the facts dont matter when they can sell false stories.
