I will be hopping on my boyfriend's truck soon and hope to be able to make the truck more comfortable for us to live in together. I will be honest and say the truck is a little, ok a lot, bland.

Can anybody give me ideas on how to make it better while not spending a boat load of money?

It all depends if it is his or a comapny truck. If its a company truck make sure to check their rules. Otherwise keep it simple.

He is not a company driver. He drives a truck for the owner, but was given permission to do what he wants to the truck as long as it doesn't make it unsafe.

Sounds like your already going to be making it ahhhhh more comfy just by riding as a seat cover in the shotgun seat, but like already said if its a company rig then don't.spend much cash on it, maybe buy a quilt and new pillow , and a clean ice cheast, to start.

Thank you for the welcome Bill104. As for the question, I will say that he already has an ice chest and plenty of pillows and blankets. The owner of this truck only owns this one and it is permanently assigned to my boyfriend.

For info if hes driving a truck for the owner, that makes him a company driver, its all good, still for dumbing money into something he doesn't own is crazy buy things to make it comfy but not things that become the, truck like chorme or a high dollar stero, but linens and sest covers.are doable,if hes good freinds and not worried about his job he migjt get an inverter and refrigerstor maybe, even a tv dvd player, but make sure its all stuff you can unload if he quits or gets laid off.

    shriner75 Thanks this.

Welcome to the Forum! You gotta have XM radio, a portable TV and a TV antenna mounted on your truck. Most are digital now make sure it says so, total cost for everything about 160 bucks. The XM radio comes with 3 months free when you buy the new receiver but dont't quote me on that. So you can pick n choose personally the radio does it for me. Other things I carry are a portable DVD player and a PSP with a FM transmitter so you can hear the movie or play games on the truck's soundsystem. Hope I helped ya!

Satellite radio, biggest thing for me is getting out of the truck, I've got a dog to get me some exercise. Grab a couple books for you to read well your travelling. When stopped do more then grab a meal and shower. See the sites to be seen with him, he may moan about but we've all been alot of places and never seen things we wanted to. I guess internet and look up local interests where your gonna be

If the bunk has windows you can put up some curtains. a nice fuzzy rug to put your feet on when you climb out of the bunk is nice. We have a over the door top clothes hanger to hang our clothes or coats on in the bunk. A mirror attached somewhere is nice.

If you don't have a APU, add a inverter so you can cook in the truck. We carry a crock pot, ready-set-go and a microwave and have a apartment size refrigerator in the truck.

my wife made fleece seat covers for the seats, works real nice to keep the seats looking new and smelling better as we carry several sets with us and just throw them in the wash.

I know alot of folks that drive with their slippers on. They take their shoes off whenever they are in the truck, helps keep the floor from getting muddy and dirty.

Just a few ideas...hope this helps.
